The Store

I know, another beautiful day in paradise...But it was! All of the senses are waking up. The trees in our meadow are fragrant with their buds covered in a honey-like sap. The wind blows in gusts that are finally warm enough to bask in, and is revealed by the waves of grass that seems to get taller by the day. Ahhhh. Hard to believe, huh.

I just put some new pots out and tidied up the shed. The weather is supposed to get even warmer in the coming days.

So why don't you come and see us.

brought into the shop. My daughters, my muses.

Is Spring here? Well, let me get back to you on that. After snow, cold weather, rain and, yesterday's beautiful blue skies, I guess you could say, "yes", or maybe "welcome to the mountains". It seems to be reflecting the hot and cold of Wall St. these days.

sign of Spring? or to cut the grass, or to raise the sign?

Who Needs Electricity Anyway?

Well, I'd love some, please. But I won't need any for my treadle wheel!

It was a gorgeous Spring day and as the mercury hit about 60*F this afternoon, I thought it would be a good time to move a wheel into the studio, a gentle reminder of my true calling, perhaps. It was good to see a pottery making machine in place, ready and willing. Just a kick away from it's ultimate fulfilment! Ah, but wait, couldn't I have at least washed it off a little before this picture was taken? I guess not. As Michael's mother-in-law would have said....clean dirt!

If weather holds up, I will get some outside work done. But the forecast is for rain and snow. We'll see, plenty of work to do inside, counters, tables, trim. I also want to build my Shimpo wheel stand and ball opener.
